Training for fly anglers who compete or want to start, and for teams. I have competed in fly fishing for more than ten years, with international and national awards.
In a competition you do not choose your water. A draw gives you a short stretch of river, called a beat, and a session of a few hours. That is where the three parts of this training start.
We also work on when to choose which tactic: a dry fly, one nymph or two, or a dry-dropper. The training covers what you want to work on. The nymph, river by river, is in euro nymphing in Montenegro. The rules behind the rigging, with their article numbers, are in the FIPS-Mouche rules explained, and the leader in numbers is in leader, sighter and tippet length.
Training is a kind of guiding, so you ask for it like any trip. In the request form, pick “Competition training” as the kind of trip. Under experience, the form has a line for anglers who fish in competitions. Use the message to tell me what you want to work on, and which water you have in mind.

- Practice sessions fished against the clock, as in a competition.
What happens

We confirm your dates
When we agree, the dates are yours. I arrange the permits and lunch, and we agree how you get to the water.
