Fly tying clinic
A fly tying session on a multi-day trip. I bring the tools and the materials. Price on request.
An addition to a multi-day trip: a session at the vise, tying the flies we fish on these rivers. I bring the tools and the materials.
This is not a trip of its own. It is an addition to a multi-day trip, at an additional charge. You bring nothing: I bring the vise, the tools and the materials.
What we tie is what we fish: nymphs, dry flies and streamers. A tying session usually starts with the tools and the first steps, starting the thread, keeping proportions, finishing the fly, and works from a simple pattern to a finer one; a nymph first, then a dry. We tie what suits the water we are fishing that week. If you tie nymphs already, the bead sizes in grams are in tungsten bead sizes and weights.
If you would rather buy them, I sell flies for every river I guide.
To ask for it, tick “Fly tying clinic” in the request form, in the step “What else do you need?”, or write it in your message.
