A guided fly fishing day in Montenegro with me costs 190 EUR for one angler and 250 EUR for two, and the permits and lunch are inside that price. No deposit is asked for, no tax is added, and if you cancel you pay nothing. I guide the rivers and lakes of northern Montenegro. If you stay in a town by the waters, I drive you on the fishing day. Pickup from further away is by arrangement. Every price I charge is on this page and, as the place I keep them current, on Trips. This article says what a day costs, what is in it, what is not, and how to book it.

The price of a guided day

  • One angler, a full day: 190 EUR.
  • Two anglers: 250 EUR (the second angler adds 60).
  • Three or four anglers: the price per angler is lower with more people. I take up to four. Ask me for the group price when you write.
  • A half day: possible on request. Tell me what you have in mind and I will quote it.

That is the final price: no tax is added.

What is included and what is not

Included in the price of a day:

  • Permits for every water we fish that day, including the national park permit where the day needs it
  • Lunch
  • Transport on the fishing day, when you are staying in a town by the waters I guide: I collect you there and drive you to the water and back
  • My guiding, the whole day, in English
  • Teaching, if you want it: I take anglers new to fly fishing, and I teach euro nymphing on the day

Not included:

  • Your travel to Montenegro
  • Pickup from further away: the coast, Podgorica or an airport. That is arranged with me when you write
  • Lodging, where you stay the night
  • Meals other than lunch
  • Rental gear, if you need it (below)
  • The edited photo set and drone clip (below)

Bring your own essential fly fishing gear. What you do not have, you can rent from me on request.

Several days

On a trip of three days or more, each guided day is 170 EUR for one angler and 230 EUR for two (the second angler adds 60). Permits and lunch are inside, as on a single day, and transport on the same terms. Lodging and the other meals are yours. See multi-day trips.

Competition training

Training for anglers who compete, or want to, and for teams is 240 EUR a day for one angler and 320 EUR for two (the second angler adds 80). It covers approach, rigging and simulated sessions, and whatever else you want to work on. Rental gear and photos can be added. See competition training and euro nymphing in Montenegro.

A first day, a fly tying clinic, flies

Three things have no price list: a first day of fly fishing for beginners and families, a fly tying clinic added to a multi-day trip, and flies for the river you fish. Each is priced on request: tell me what you have in mind and I tell you the price.

Rental gear

By request, for anglers fishing with me, per angler per day:

  • rod, reel and line, or the euro nymph kit: 25 EUR;
  • waders and boots: 25 EUR;
  • the full set: 40 EUR;
  • polarized glasses and a hat: lent free with a rental.

Modern competition rods and reels are available at an additional charge. My rental gear is limited, so nothing is promised until I answer your request, and if rented gear breaks, you pay for it. See gear rental.

Photos and a drone clip

I take some photos during the day. An edited photo set and a drone clip are 60 EUR a day for your group, edited and sent afterwards. I do not fly a drone in a national park. See photography.

Transport and pickup

Transport on the fishing day is in the price when you are staying in a town by the waters I guide: I collect you there and drive you to the water and back. If you are staying elsewhere, on the coast, in Podgorica or arriving at an airport, the pickup is arranged with me when you write, and it is not part of the price. Tell me your flight or where you are staying and I will say how it fits the day.

How to book, and what you do not pay

  1. Write to me with your dates and the number of anglers. Name a water, or leave the choice to me.
  2. I reply myself, within one day, and we agree the days.
  3. Your dates are confirmed. No deposit. If you cancel, you pay nothing.

I speak English, and you can write on WhatsApp if you prefer; the number is on the home page. How permits work, and why you never buy one yourself, is in fishing permits in Montenegro. The whole country, water by water, is in fly fishing in Montenegro: the complete guide.
